as i was walking the dogs this morning and in my morning commute to work, everything seemed so still and peaceful (maybe because all schools and most offices were closed/delayed). i had to resist taking photos of every single snow-capped tree. as much as snow is a pain (shoveling driveway, brushing off the car, black ice) i still find its beauty breathtaking. it really feels like we are living in a winter wonderland.
for this weekend, radio stations and the local news are reporting a possible major snow storm with estimated snowfall of 2-3ft. this is somewhat frightening to me, i have never dealt with this much snow and both my sister and brother-in-law will be out of town. i don't know how well i can handle cabin fever by myself! i do know, i will be making a trip to the grocery store tonight to stock up on food just in case. i have also been thinking about taking up knitting again. i went through a phase in college where a few friends of mine would hang out at each others' dorms and have a knitting party! lol, i know, those days are long gone but all of this snow makes me want to bundle up in my coziest wear, sit by a fire, and knit.
a few pictures i took on this morning's walk:
*with all this snowfall, ive been putting to good use my duck shoes :)
